Welcome to MyMedicalProfile's first News Update!

Last week saw significant changes for us here at MyMedicalProfile.co.uk. Most importantly the launch of our new medical enquires service.

As NHS doctors, we are all too often aware of the time constraints of busy hospital clinics, often this results in patients leaving their consultation with many unanswered questions.

The internet, and in particular Google, has become a fantastic tool for searching for health information, but it will never give you a personalised response. Because of this we have recruited UK based doctors, to be available 24 hours a day 7 days a week, to provide personal responses to your medical questions.

We have designed our enquiries service to complement our existing patient support service, our online personal health record. Both are designed to empower you with knowledge and understanding of your health. By creating and keeping a personal health record you will know the information that healthcare professionals are using when they make decisions about how to treat you best. Our enquiries service is then here to answer specific questions you have about your health conditions, allowing you to develop a deeper understanding.

Last week also saw the website linked in with HSBC’s secure payment system. When you log into your account you will now see a new tab which enables you to enter your credit/debit card details. This will not change your Free Trial Period; rather it allows you to continue your subscription without a break. It will also allow you to buy credits to ask your medical questions.

Finally, I would like to thank you for your membership to www.mymedicalprofile.co.uk and I would be delighted to personally receive any feedback you may have about either of the services we now offer. In particular, if you have started using your medical profile in consultations, how have you got on?
